It seems like the analog joystick should work with either my Cyborg OR my Cyro, but I can't figure it out. Has anyone tried used analog stick in Witcher 3 for pc?

Test the xbox360 setting on the https://gamepad-tester.com/ first. See if it comes up as player 1 and recognises the movement.

Launching via steam ? What controller settings you have?

It should be xbox controller / xinput as p1.
Is your stick set to xbox 360?
Does it detect the controller in Steam?
