Upgrading from compact to elite v2

I have been having issues with my thumbstick on my azeron classic compact with stick drift and is getting pretty bad. My question as there is no option for an elite v2 for the classic compact version of the azeron only the cyborg version. Can I still upgrade to the cyborg version of the elite v2

The axis will be inverted

I know that this is an older thread but I have a Elite v2 swapped in on my Compact(Teensy Green Board) and the axis is not inverted.
