So you would rather manipulate camera with thumbstick than use the mouse? Do you play unlocked camera now or locked?
It arrived today. I set it up so the thumbstick moves the camera left - right -up -down (in reverse because the thumbstick works as if up is dow and left is right.. e_e but I wanted it to move camera up when I move the stick up and so on). The thumbstick press activates attack champions only toggle. The thumb-nail button locks/unlocks camera. I set the F1 to 4 to the back key row, QWER to the key row after that, 1234 to the key row after that for active items, the 4 other fingernail keys I set to upgrade QWER and the tower keys I use for ESC (pinky), P (for ring finger), T for middle finger key and Tabt on pointer finger tower key. Pointer finger side key i set to Ctrl and pinky finger side key is SHIFT (since I use left mouse auto attacks settings and pressing shift allows me to click on map without moving).
My summoners are bound to my 2 mouse side keys, the DPI switch is B and I set middle click to trinket.
Camera I play both locked (per side offset) and unlocked. Once I'm in the middle of a fight for example I lock the camera so I can keep track of my character. If I'm farming jungle camps or I'm in lane and don't need the extra vision I use locked camera with F keys. I use F1-4 to track my teammates. I unlock the camera when I need to gather nearby information while moving into a fight and need to track enemy movement. I move the camera with the thumbsick. Sometimes I SHIFT left click the minimap to check something so I also move camera like that while in locked camera mode instead of F keys.
Locked camera advantage imo is that you can click close to your character while moving and easily dodge skillshots which makes your micro substantially superior. Disadvantage is you can't land some long range skillshots and can't see some stuff nearby if you don't unlock the camera.. which is why I do both depending on the situation.
Now to get used to it, I played around with it in practice, itl probably take me a week or so maybe 2 weeks to build up the muscle memory. Good thing its offseason.
