Does anyone use this device without using the thumbstick for WASD?

I am concerned that I may encounter issues with strafing as stated in Linus' review. Does anyone use WASD bound to fingers on this device? If so, can you describe the experience? My main reason for considering making the switch is the ergonomics. I am kind of bummed they didn't put a space bar key like on the razer Tartarus which I've been using for years. I'd love to hear peoples thoughts on this

I think the linus review is terrible. Just set the joystick left and right to slide/lateral/strafe (whatever term the game uses) and steer with joystick forward or backward and your mouse look.
