  • How durable is the keypad?

With normal use (no raging, throwing, or hitting) it will work for years. Just don’t over-tighten the screws to avoid damaging the threads. The analog stick is the same as in a PS4, so it should work well for a long time. It has worked for us and our friends for more than 3 years with minor wear and tear marks.

The keypad has a warranty.

Since the Azeron keypad is assembled by hand, you might come across a situation when after unpacking you witness a button stuck or a screw is looser/tighter than it should be. There is nothing to worry about. It is common and isn't a defect. It can happen as a result of vibration and temperature fluctuations during transportation and should be an easy fix with a little adjustment. Feel free to contact us if this has happened and you require assistance.

IMPORTANT

Please protect the package and its contents from heat. Do not leave it in a hot car or be exposed to sunlight for a long period.
  • Does this keypad work on a console?

Azeron keypad will work with console games that support mouse & keyboard input. However, you may need to map your keys on a PC. You can use onboard profiles to switch between two keybind setups. If you want to use it with console games that work only with controllers or want to have 360° movement instead of WASD, you will require an adapter to simulate console controllers (for example XIM). Azeron has been extensively used and tested with the XIM, it even has specialized firmware just for that to simplify the setup.

  • What kind of switches does it use?

It uses Omron D2F-01 microswitches you can find in mice, so the keys have a clicky feel like a mouse, not like a keyboard.
  • What kind of board does it use?

It's a Teensy++ 2.0 board with a mini USB port.
  • What is the Xbox360 stick + keyboard option?

The “Xbox360+keyboard” option was a direct request from Beaks and for the keyboard mapping part, he only maps A and D for left and right. So it will be analog moving in a 90-degree cone forward and backward, but going sideways it will go A or D because the keyboard signal will overwrite the analog 360 signal for max 90-degree strafe angle and speed. If you remove all WASD binds in that option it's true 360 though. Essentially it's having input and keyboard signals on the stick at the same time.
  • 3D print quality

Most complaints about build quality come from people who don't own our keypads and presume that "it's bad because it's 3D printed".

Many of our customers compliment us on the print quality, however, you don't have to take our word for it - feel free to watch "Hardware Canucks" independent review if you worry about the print quality of our keypads.

If you are not fully satisfied with the print quality, you can return it within 30 days of the delivery.
