Is better than a keyboard if you have carpal tunnel

Was wondering if this device would be benficial to a person with carpal tunnel or RSI.

I have Carpal tunnel and Cubital tunnel syndrome in my left hand and it is easier for me to use this over the keyboard. My thumb still goes numb a lot but better them my whole hand
