Functionality with Crossover for M1 Mac

I saw that a while ago someone tried to use the software with crossover, but they didn't post their experience with it. Has anyone run the software through crossover?

I'm aware that you can set it up on a PC and then bring it to Mac, but that just doesn't work with my workflow. I add new shortcuts frequently, and sometimes I change based on comfort. I need to be able to change shortcuts on the fly and having to shut down and start windows is just obtuse.

I also want more functionality than just direct input. I really love the layering function and that is my primary interest.

Anyone have experience with this? Or can the devs tell us what functions DO NOT work with crossover?

Also, why can't I use tags for Apple, Mac, M1 when I post? I also can't search those topics either, which seems really weird. Errors for those terms every time.

There is an app called joystick mapper for Mac, you can try that instead.
Macros and layers are only supported on software profiles, so you won't have them available for use on Mac.

Will check the search, see if it works for me.

I absolutely need the macro and layer functions, so joystick mapper is pointless for me. I already have Steermouse (not sure if that works with your device) and my shortcuts still get sort of out of control because it doesn't support layering either.

It would be great if Mac support was added. Most Mac users wouldn't care for using it as a gaming device, as much as a peripheral tool for professional software. Pro Tools, Adobe, and Fusion 360 are what I use and I have separate shortcuts for each program. Gaming peripheral manufacturers don't ever seem to consider the incredible utility of their devices for working professionals and general productivity. It's a serious missed opportunity.
