Thanks for the help. I took the housing apart and noticed the tiniest bit of solder between the two contacts. Removed it with a most gentle scrape with tweezers. I probably only noticed the five-way switch malfunction once I started playing old Infinity engine games. Works perfectly now. Thanks...

I've only used my Compact Cyborg a few times since it arrived at my doorstep, and now the five-way switch registers both up and right simultaneously whenever I push up or right exclusively. Down and left are unaffected and working perfectly. Is there anything I can do to remedy the problem?
