Hello, I've been a satisfied user of the Azeron Cyro for 2 years. However, after these 2 years, I just joined college Esports for Valorant, and after 2 weeks using the Cyro, I have some issues that put me back to a regular mouse. Here's my main issue: The scroll wheel is inaccessible. When I want to use the scroll wheel for any action, I have to actively remove my trigger finger to perform that action, whereas on a regular mouse I can use my middle finger as a designated "Scroll Wheel and Scroll Click" finger. On the Cyro I can still use my middle finger for "Scroll Clicking", but I'd have to use my index (trigger) finger for the scroll wheel. This kind of kills any ergonomics that this mouse would otherwise have. The point is to have more accessible buttons, when the buttons are placed in inaccessible spots, they become practically useless. (the lack of clicking the scroll wheel also removes a very practical button placement, removing one of the extra buttons' utility)
Then my secondary issue: The software's optical sensor and mouse wheel settings simply don't cut it. When I can only change my angle of the mouse by 5 degrees at a time, it's very hard to get a precise angle of aiming. When the mouse sensor is sort of perpendicular to the mouse itself, it becomes a challenge of alignment and adds another learning curve to an already learning curve heavy mouse. It makes me question my wrist alignment all the time, when if either the sensor's alignment on the physical mouse or the angle it's set at in the software were changed, all those issues would go away.
As it is, the Cyro feels kind of like a gimmicky One Handed controller, when it could be a competitive esports mouse. The joystick will never replace WASD for me, but I can see it working for those with only one usable hand. I have 2, so when I used the Cyro, I just didn't find it's utility worth the learning curve in a competitive setting. I should mention, I have a left handed model, and I have used a left handed mouse otherwise as well.
While I'm here, is there any other suggestions that you have for the Cyro? Feedback? Maybe some more crazy redesigns, like moving the d-pad to the pinky to have more accessible buttons? Let me know. I will subscribe to this thread and respond to any questions or feedback to the best of my ability.
