Keyzen or Cyborg II?

So, I've churned through a few keypads including MS Strategic Commander and Logitech G13. both have lasted physically but been let down by dropping of software / driver support.

Right now I'm up in the air between the two new options. I know I'd at least initially be more comfortable with the Keyzen but this is as a long term purchase and I doubt I'll have funds for a second purchase anytime soon. so it might be worth it to just go the Cyborg II and put up with the learning curve.

What do I play? a good mix and for some titles the thumbstick will be motion control and others the central key cluster.

e.g. :

MechWarrior / BattleTech games, thumbstick.

Most RTS games going back to the 90's, thumbstick for scrolling.

Grey Zone Warfare and other fast / tactical FPS, central keys.

there's a heap of others but these indicate the style / need division.

Other considerations:

keys easier to tune with simple mods, e.g. buffer rings, but need custom pads as non available just yet or near future.

Cyborg, in theory faster but huge learning curve.

I know a crap ton of this comes down to 'personal choice' just looking for feedback. if I get keys and like them I'll likely get Cyborg. if I get the 'borg and am negative or non-plussed very unlikely to get keys.

Cyborg for me.
More adjustability, quicker inputs due to less travel distance.
Learning curve, yes, but easy if you start with mapping few keys, like 4-5, then add more as you get used to the current 4-5 binds.

For FPS it wouldn't matter, only few binds for those games most of the time, unless you want to strafe with keys by binding wasd on them, then perhaps a Keyzen would be an option.

keyzen woulda been what i would recommend based on you using the g13. it should be more similar. also cause the keys are more natural keycaps and can even replace the switches where as for the cyborg it uses mouse switches meaning you'd have to know how to solder if any of those go bad or need replaced.
