Issues
  • Device is bricked. Light is on, no preview in app, no mapped buttons functioning
  • STM Cube not recognising re-write mode or seeing any usb device
  • Windows device manager only recognising an ‘other device’ called - ‘Azeron Keypad - XInput‘ and is warning no driver installed
Setup
  • Cyborg V2 (brand new) connected directly to PC with box cable (plus other cables tested)
Steps to reproduce
  • unknown - last action was to change joystick mode and try to test / adjust angle
Steps Taken to resolve
  • Reinstalled Azeron Software
  • Reset device to factory
  • Reset app setting and deleted profiles
  • Tried to manually update firmware - unable to get device recognised in Re-write mode
The videos / guides do not seem to include:
  • the steps for this entry in device manager, and i have been unable to ‘browse for drivers’ successfully
  • the v2, i am guessing it is the top nail button as part of the combination for this model. I have tried both anyway and neither works in this case - please clarify the correct combination for this model
Attached logs
Last to connection events (if you can see them) were 1) Normal connect 2) Re-write mode connect

For anyone that follows me on this journey the steps to resolve a bricked Cyborg v2 are;
  1. ignore all of the videos
  2. Unplug cable and close software
  3. Open the unit (3 screws under to take off palm grip)
  4. Find the ‘boot’ button
  5. Press and hold button whilst connecting cable
  6. Use STMCube method (see guide) to Flash to the EARLIEST version firmware
  7. Disconnect cable
  8. Reconnect cable
  9. Launch Azeron app
  10. Let the app update to latest firmware on connect
If the azeron app asks for recalibration, it worked.
