Did some lookin thru the forums, apologies if i didnt find an existing thread...

Looking to purchase a Cyro,
Wondering if the thumbstick be used as a trackball?
I dont always have access to a flat surface to use a mouse, using for CAD work.
I see an option to turn off the optical sensor on the bottom in videos,
but during the keybinding options I didnt see the ability to switch the thumbstick to 'take over' as the mouse pointer.

Can someone verify if/no the thumbstick can be used as the system pointer?

Mouse sensor can be turned off and the joystick can be set as a mouse pointer.
If you are interested in trackball, there is a mod by one of the users for Cyborg, the joystick is replaced for the trackball

Mucho thank you. Very helpful. I will move foward with the purchase.
By chance, could you provide the link/info for that trackball upgrade?

Yes, the thumbstick on the Cyro can be configured to act as the system pointer, but it depends on the software and driver support provided. If you're using the official software, check for settings under pointer or joystick modes—some versions allow the thumbstick to emulate mouse movement. If not natively supported, third-party tools like JoyToKey or reWASD can help remap the thumbstick to control the system cursor for CAD or general use.
