Action-Oriented Binding: Instead of thinking "map 'R' to this button," think "map 'reload' to this finger movement.
Prioritize Easy-to-Reach Buttons: Put your most frequently used or "twitch" actions on the most accessible buttons (e.g., downward finger presses or pulls). Less critical actions can go on less intuitive positions.
