Analog Joystick axis issue

Hello, I am having issues playing games with the analog joystick setting.
it is the exact same issue as this old forum thread with no responses.

Z-axis troubles, camera is spinning in game.

Use my Cyborg for FFXIV, beyond thrilled with it. I'm running into an issue though... I recently installed XIV on my Mac to play. Config'd the bindings on my PC, swapped over and they all work perfectly! However, I can't get the joystick to work right... if I... Put it on XBox mode: Nothing...

when i make any action on the joystick, it causes the "right stick" axis to be pushed up all the way.

I am using this on mac, but i can see the same axis triggered when i test the joystick on windows.

Is there a way to disable all of the outputs for the analog stick aside from the x and y axis (here as axis 0 and axis 1)?

here are some snips from chrome which is showing axis 9 as the one that is all the way up. Axis 0 and axis 1 are when i have the analog toggled to left stick and axis 2 and 5 are when its toggled to right stick. (I have attempted to use the analog toggle to see if that solves my problem but it does not)

Analog joystick setting should be used with the XIM.
Try Xbox360 instead

It appears that wont work for me since I am trying to use it on mac. I saw in another thread you mentioned using an adapter. What kind of adapter could i use?

Well for the Mac we can only suggest using the keyboard mode.
