Hi everyone,
I’d like to suggest an alternative thumb module for the Azeron Keypad: replacing the analog thumbstick with a small trackball (like the ones used in thumb-trackball mice).
Why I think this would help:
For context: I’ve used a KeyMouse.com for a couple of years after my incident, and it works fantastic as a one-handed solution. It’s not quite like before, but it gave me real freedom in gaming. Sadly, the company behind KeyMouse went bankrupt, and there’s now a gap in the market for this kind of accessibility hardware. I think Azeron could fill that gap by offering a trackball module option.
Has anyone experimented with this kind of mod? And @devs, would this be possible on the current hardware/firmware?
Would love to hear your thoughts!

I’d like to suggest an alternative thumb module for the Azeron Keypad: replacing the analog thumbstick with a small trackball (like the ones used in thumb-trackball mice).
Why I think this would help:
- I only have use of one arm, so I rely heavily on devices like Azeron for gaming.
- A trackball would act as a true mouse HID input → precise aiming on PC.
- No drift or deadzones compared to analog sticks.
- Unlimited spin/flicks for quick turns (great for FPS).
- Could be offered as an alternative module for those who want it, not replacing the standard stick.
