I've only used my Compact Cyborg a few times since it arrived at my doorstep, and now the five-way switch registers both up and right simultaneously whenever I push up or right exclusively. Down and left are unaffected and working perfectly. Is there anything I can do to remedy the problem?

Sounds like the wires are touching somewhere. Remove 5way and thumbstick caps. Open up the thumbstick housing and pull the board off and check whether any of the wires aren't touching
Thanks for the help. I took the housing apart and noticed the tiniest bit of solder between the two contacts. Removed it with a most gentle scrape with tweezers. I probably only noticed the five-way switch malfunction once I started playing old Infinity engine games. Works perfectly now. Thanks again.
